About Liam

Liam has been focused on creating sculpture and sculpted environments for over 25 years. A background in figurative bronze sculpture, film set creation, commercial sculpture and thematic developments, has given him unique artistic and creative skills.

Notably, early in his career Liam was selected to work on the Tokyo Disney Sea project as well as sculpture projects in Macau China. During this time he worked with many outstanding artists learning specifically about cement sculpting.

He has since been developing these techniques and applications for the Australian market commercially and privately. Founding Sculpt Studios in 2011, Liam has been proud to share these techniques with many local artists and team members, and as such has assembled a diverse and highly skilled team of artistic fabricators at Sculpt Studios.

Liam passion for creating lasting and meaningful artworks for the public arena has seen him in recent years commissioned to create bronze statues of some of Queensland’s most celebrated sporting hero’s. Including Rugby greats, Mal Meninga, Arthur Beetson, Allan ‘Alfie’ Langer and John Eales. Along with Former Captain of The Australian Netball team, and commonwealth games medalist Laura Getiz.

Liam’s process of traditional figurative clay sculpting is something he takes great pride in. Please feel free to get in contact should you wish to discuss a commission.
